Prefabricated container houses are manufactured as six-sided boxes constructed in a factory, then delivered to site where modules are set onto the building's foundation using a crane and joined together to form a single structure. The container modules can be placed side-by-side, end-to-end, or stacked, allowing a wide variety of configurations and styles in the building layout which enables multi-bay or multi-story solutions.
Compared with conventional construction methods, container houses offer numerous advantages considering their wide applications. Container houses can be used for long-term, temporary, or permanent facilities, including construction camps, schools and classrooms, civilian and industrial facilities. Container buildings are particularly useful in remote and rural areas where conventional construction may not be reasonable or possible.
